본 연구는 도서관에서 제공하는 적극적 정보제공 서비스로서의 테마전시 이용행태를 조사하고, 그 효과로서 이용자의 도서관 이용행태 변화와 인식변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 테마전시를 제공하는 3개 도서관의 7명의 사서와 8명의 이용자 심층인터뷰를 통해 연구 질문 및 설문지를 개발하고, 232명의 이용자를 대상으로 설문 및 통계분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 테마전시 서비스가 이용자들의 다양한 자료이용을 도울 뿐 아니라, 사서에 대한 인식 및 도서관 평가에 긍정적인 변화를 주고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 각 도서관의 환경과 이용자층에 맞춰 테마전시를 적극적으로 수행할 것을 제안하였다.
Abstract
We investigated the user behavior of the theme display provided by the public libraries as an active information service. Specifically, we wanted to study the library patrons’ library use behavior and perception. There were in-depth interviews with seven librarians and eight patrons to develop a set of research questions and the questionnaire. We conducted the survey with 232 patrons then the statistical analysis. The analysis result revealed that the theme display helped the patrons’ wider use of the library resources and also positively affected patrons’ perception on the librarians as well as the evaluation of the library services. Based on the findings, we recommended the active incorporation of the theme display within the limitation of the libraries’ facility and patrons’ interests.

본 연구는 법학전문도서관이 제 역할과 기능을 할 수 있도록 실질적인 평가 내용을 다루어 법학전문도서관의 역할과 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하였다. 특히 법학전문도서관 사서들을 대상으로 그들의 의견을 수렴하여, 평가항목을 도출하였고, 법학전문도서관의 주 이용계층인 법학전문대학원 학생들을 대상으로 그들의 요구를 조사하고 분석하였다. 특히 독립적이고, 전문적으로 법학전문도서관을 위한 평가를 지향하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있으며, 법학전문도서관의 건물과 시설 그리고 소장자료의 양과 함께 소장자료의 질, 법학도서관 사서의 기능과 역할 그리고 이용자의 만족도를 증진시키며, 외적인 면과 함께 법학전문도서관의 내실을 갖추는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated factors and issues for law school library evaluation. Also, this study suggested the roles and guidelines for law school libraries to perform its own role and function. To carry out the research, surveys were conducted with the law librarians. Then surveys were conducted to investigate law school students' demands and behaviors. Especially this study evaluated law libraries which were not carried out independently and professionally until now and meaningful as it thoroughly investigated users' demands and behavior with law school libraries and function and roles of law librarians. To facilitate law school library services and functions, quality of the collections, librarians' role, and users' needs should be considered as well as buildings and physical facilities. Particularly, users' needs assessment and librarians' opinion survey will be imperative in implementing evaluation.

공공도서관에서 이용자의 지적․문화적 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 제공하는 문화 프로그램의 하나로 전시의 비중이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공공도서관에서 운영하는 순회전시 운영 방식과 홍보 방법의 차이를 알아보고 순회전시의 이용 정도에 따른 이용자의 인식 차이를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 ‘책 속 인물에게 보내는 한글 손 편지’ 수상작 순회전시를 연구 프로그램으로 선정하여 5개 공공도서관의 이용자 총 385명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 순회전시의 운영 방식에 따라 전시 이용에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, ‘전시 홍보물’과 ‘도서관 홈페이지’는 순회전시 홍보를 위한 유용한 수단으로 나타났다. 또한 순회전시를 적극적으로 이용한 이용자의 도서관 이용, 순회전시 효과, 순회전시 평가가 소극적인 이용자보다 높게 나타났다. 분석 결과를 통해 순회전시의 이용을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Public libraries provide a variety of services for users to meet their intellectual and cultural needs. Thus, the proportion of exhibitions as one of the cultural programs offered by the libraries has been increasing. The purpose of this study is to find out the differences of operation method and promotion method of traveling exhibition hosted by public libraries and to verify the differences of users’ perception according to the degree of use of the traveling exhibition. For this purpose, a research program, the traveling exhibition of the award-winning works: the Hangeul Hand Letters to the People in Books of the National Library for Children and Young Adults, was selected. A survey was conducted on a total of 385 users from five public libraries. As a result, there were significant differences in the use of traveling exhibition among library users, depending on the operation method of traveling exhibition of the public libraries. And, the ‘promotional material’ and ‘library homepage’ were proven to be a useful way to promote the traveling exhibition. Also, the overall use of library, the effect of traveling exhibition, and the evaluation of traveling exhibition of the users who actively used the traveling exhibition were higher than those of the users who passively used it. Based on the findings, methods to increase the use of the traveling exhibition were suggested.

본 연구는 지속적인 증가추세에 있는 대학도서관 단행본 장서폐기와 관련하여, 최근 10년간의 폐기 현황을 분석하고 사서 대상 면담을 통해 장서폐기와 관련된 이슈를 파악하고자 하였다. 한국교육학술정보원의 학술정보시스템에서 제공하는 2010년부터 2019년까지의 장서폐기 데이터를 활용하여 폐기 현황을 분석하였다. 장서 규모가 200만 권 이상인 대학도서관 그룹에서 가장 큰 규모로 장서폐기가 진행되었고, 장서구성 면에서는 단행본 복본의 감소가 두드러지게 나타났다. 최근 10년간 3회 이상의 장서폐기 작업과 1회 이상의 대량폐기를 시행한 기관의 사서 면담 결과, 대량의 장서폐기 과정에서 다수의 단행본 복본이 폐기되는 가운데 활용가치가 있는 자료가 포함되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 사서들은 내용적 가치가 있는 자료의 디지털화 필요성을 강조하면서, 이를 위한 저작권법상의 제약도 토로하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 장서폐기가 장기적으로 장서구성의 변화를 초래할 수 있음을 지적하며, 대학도서관들이 거시적으로 장서구성의 변화에 관심을 두기를 제안하였다. 폐기 단행본의 가치를 평가하여 디지털장서로 구축하고 소장도서의 복본 수를 디지털장서의 이용권 개념으로 유지하는 등 다각적인 노력을 기울일 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study attempted to discover the problems related to the increasing book disposal trend within academic libraries by analyzing the disposal status over ten years and interviews with the librarians. The analysis utilized Korea Education and Research Information Service provided disposal information from 2010 to 2019. The academic libraries with more than 2 million books had disposed of the most number of books. This trend led to a distinctive decrease in the books’ duplicate copies in terms of the collection composition. The librarians from the organizations, which conducted disposal more than three times and one massive removal within ten years, revealed in the interviews that they discarded many valuable duplicate books. They discussed the importance of digitizing high-value resources and also the limitation imposed by the copyright law. In conclusion, this study pointed out that book disposal can cause changes in the collection composition in the long run and suggested that academic libraries pay attention to these changes. The study also suggested evaluating the discarded books’ values to guide the digitization efforts and count the number of books to include digital book use rights.

장애인의 정보격차해소를 위한 다양한 노력에도 불구하고 장애인 및 잠재적 이용자층의 정보요구 미 파악, 단일화된 정보제공 채널의 미비, 웹 접근성의 낮은 체감 수준 등 다양한 요인들에 의해 장애인의 정보격차 해소는 요원해지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 장애인과 유관종사자 등 잠재적 이용자층의 장애인분야 웹정보 이용행태를 분석하고, 현재 국내에서 제공되고 있는 장애인분야 웹정보서비스의 이용성을 평가하였다. 나아가 웹정보서비스의 기능 개선 요구사항을 파악하여, 장애인의 정보격차 해소를 위한 새로운 정보서비스 모형으로서의 장애인도서관 포털서비스 구축방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
In spite of various efforts to resolve digital divide of people with disabilities, it still has a long way to go because there lack of identifying information needs of people with disabilities and potential users including their family and the related, and integrated information channels such as a portal, and so on. In this context, this study aims at analyzing the users’ unique information behavior and evaluating usability of domestic web information services for people with disabilities which are currently serviced. Increasingly, we suggest new functional requirements of building a library portal for people with disabilities.
