본 연구는 도서관 상주작가 지원사업 문화프로그램 운영현황을 파악하고 프로그램에 대한 이용자의 인식과 선호, 사서의 인식을 조사하여 도서관 상주작가 문화프로그램의 운영개선 및 활성화 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위한 연구방법은 이론적 연구와 상주작가 문화프로그램 운영 현황조사, 도서관 이용자의 인식 및 선호에 대한 설문조사, 사서의 인식에 대한 인터뷰조사를 통한 실증적 연구를 병행하였다. 현황조사․설문조사․인터뷰조사는 2021년 5월부터 11월까지의 상주작가 지원사업 문화프로그램을 실시하고 있는 도서관을 대상으로 하였다. 문화프로그램의 어려움은 상주작가의 역량과 코로나로 인한 휴․재개관의 반복과 비대면 수업으로 나타났다. 프로그램 개선방안으로 상주작가와 다른 분야의 문인 초청과 문학프로그램 운영, 온라인 홍보에서 오프라인 홍보의 강화, 문화프로그램 운영의 사전교육, 사업 시작 시기 조정, 작가의 특성을 위한 교육, 이용자 연령을 고려한 진행방식, 이용자 선호 프로그램, 프로그램 운영시간, 정기문화프로그램 운영, 지역특성과 프로그램의 다양성 등을 고려해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This article aims to improve the cultural program for the resident writers in libraries by identifying the current status of the resident writer support project, examining users’ perceptions and preferences, and investigating librarians’ perceptions of the program. The research methods included an investigation (survey) of the program operation status, user perception and preference surveys, and interviews with librarians about their perceptions of the program. Data were collected from libraries with the cultural program for resident writers between May and November 2021. Findings showed there were challenges in operating the library cultural program due to the lack of resident writers’ quality, frequent changes in the program formats (online or offline), and library closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. For the program improvement, suggestions were made, including inviting good-quality resident writers and writers from other fields to the program, training resident writers, advertising the programs using online and offline media, training staff, and developing programs considering user ages and preferences and diversity in local communities.

최근 들어 다양한 분야에서 VR 기술을 활용한 콘텐츠가 점차 증가하고 있으며 기술 또한 급속도로 보급되는 추세이다. 이러한 배경에서 공공도서관 또한 시대의 흐름에 따라 VR 기술을 활용한 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공공도서관의 교육적, 문화적 기능을 고려한 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 VR 프로그램이 진행되고 있는 국내․외 공공도서관 및 산업군 사례 조사 그리고 선행연구, 이론분석을 통해 적용점 및 시사점을 도출하였으며 이를 종합, 검토하여 공공도서관에서의 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램은 향후 공공도서관에서 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램 기획을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Recently, content using VR technology in various fields is gradually increasing, and the technology is also rapidly spreading. Against this background, public libraries also need to provide services using VR technology according to the flow of the times. Therefore, this study drew application points through the investigation and analysis of domestic and foreign public libraries where VR programs are underway. And based on this, a final proposal is prepared after planning and reviewing VR-based educational and cultural programs in public libraries. VR-based educational and cultural programs introduced can be used as basic data for planning VR-based cultural programs in public library.

공공도서관 문화프로그램에 대한 중요성이 커짐에 따라 그 경제적 효과에 대하여 전반적으로 평가할 필요성이 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구는 문화프로그램의 경제적 가치를 분석하기 위한 방법으로 기존에 사용되어 온 가상가치평가법의 대안으로 DM 포맷과 IBM 포맷을 제안하였다. 또한 이 모형을 공공도서관이 적용할 수 있도록 사례분석을 통해 그 과정을 구체적으로 설명하고 있다. 이 연구는 가상가치평가법의 바이어스를 최대한 감소함으로써 공공도서관의 정확한 가치를 평가할 수 있는 기본 틀을 마련하였다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The need for overall assessment of economic effectiveness of library culture program has been suggested, as its importance continues to grow. Our study proposed a new assessment method by applying DM format and IBM format to contingent valuation method that has been used for analyzing the economic value of culture program. This study also illustrates the process through case analysis so that the public library can apply this model. It is meaningful that the study provides basic framework to evaluate the fair value of the public library by minimizing the bias that the contingent valuation method has.

본 연구는 공공도서관 교육문화프로그램 참여여부에 따라 이용자들의 도서관 이용, 즉 이용도, 관심도, 활용도에 차이가 존재하는지 살펴보고, 각각의 교육문화프로그램 유형에 참여하는 이용자들이 이용성에 대한 일정한 패턴을 보이는지를 알아보고자 했다. 프로그램 현황 및 설문 데이터를 통해 통계분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 교육문화프로그램 참여 여부와 참여하는 교육문화프로그램의 유형에 따라 도서관 이용방식, 자료대출횟수, 사이트 및 앱 접속횟수 등의 도서관 이용 패턴에 차이가 존재함을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study examined whether there is any difference in the public library patrons’ library uses depending on their participation in the educational and cultural programs of such libraries. Additional analysis was conducted to determine if the particular educational and cultural program participants’ showed any consistent library use patterns. The statistical analysis of such program offerings and the patron survey data resulted in the findings such as that there were statistically significant differences in how the patrons’ used the libraries, the number of library resources borrowed, and the frequency of library websites and/or mobile applications used based on their participation in the educational and cultural programs and also the types of programs that they attended.

지금까지 도서관에서의 치유적 프로그램은 독서문화프로그램의 일부로써 독서치유라는 주제로 한정되어 서비스를 제공해 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도서관에서 치유프로그램의 활성화 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이에 치유적 활동의 유형과 주제를 도출하였으며, 도서관과 유사기관에서 이루어지는 치유적 활동에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 대상에 따라 다뤄야하는 치유 내용이 달라지므로, 이를 고려하여 도서관에 적용해야 한다. 이에 유․아동기(0-13세), 청소년(14-19세), 청장년기(20-64세), 노년기(65세 이상)에 맞는 치유프로그램을 제안하였다. 둘째, 치유프로그램 분석 결과로 나타난 도서관, 의료기관과 같이 기관들과의 연계를 통해서 치유프로그램을 운영하는 방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
Until now, healing programs in libraries have provided services under the theme of reading therapy as part of the reading culture program. The purpose of this study is to suggest a way to revitalize healing programs in libraries. This study derives the types and themes of healing activities and analyzes the healing activities in libraries and similar institutions. As a result, first, the healing content to be treated varies depending on the subject, so it should be applied to the library in consideration of this. Therefore, a treatment program was proposed for infants and children (0-13 years), adolescents (14-19 years), adolescents (20-64 years), and old age (65 years and over). Second, it proposed a way to operate healing programs through linkage with institutions such as libraries and medical institutions that were shown as a result of analysis of the healing program.

이 연구는 공공도서관의 서비스품질(인쇄형태 출판물과 인터넷 및 전자자원, 문화프로그램 및 서비스, 도서관시설 및 환경, 직원)이 공공도서관의 이용에 따른 전반적인 만족도 및 불평의도, 충성도(재이용의도 포함)에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 대구지역 8개 공공도서관의 이용자 443명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 선행연구에 대한 분석을 통해 제시한 인과적 모델을 설문데이터를 바탕으로 경로분석(path analysis)을 이용하여 검증하였다. 분석결과 인쇄형태 출판물과 문화프로그램 및 서비스, 도서관시설 및 환경, 직원은 각각 이용자의 전반적인 만족도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 도서관시설 및 환경의 품질은 공공도서관 이용자의 만족도와 충성도에 광범위한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study investigates the influences of the service quality of public libraries, including printed publications, internet and electronic materials, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff, on the general satisfaction of the users, complaining intentions, and loyalty including reuse intentions. It develops a library user satisfaction model and testifies it through path analysis using questionnaires from 443 public library users in Daegu Metropolitan City area. This study shows that service qualities of printed publications, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff influence significantly on the general satisfaction of the users, and that service quality of library environment and facilities is the major variable which influences satisfaction and loyalty of the public library.

문화재 관련 기록물은 문화재에 대한 구체적인 증거이며 보존에 있어 중요한 근거자료 역할을 하므로 문화재만큼이나 중요한 의미가 있다. 특히 국가적이나 사회적으로 중요한 가치를 가진 특정 문화재인 경우 해당 문화재가 하나의 주제로 다양한 연구가 진행되고 문화재를 주제로 한 프로그램이 기획되는 경우가 많다. 그러나 유명한 문화재를 중심으로 생산되는 기록물은 긴 시간 동안 발생하면서 분산되어 관리되어 왔고 다양한 형태로 나타나고 있어 해당 기록물의 범위와 소재, 내용을 파악하기 어렵다. 이와 같은 문제들의 해결 방안으로, 이 연구는 황룡사와 같이 사회적, 역사적 가치를 가지는 주요 문화재를 중심으로 발생하는 관련 기록물을 11개 공공기관 및 웹서비스에서 수집하여 기록물의 유형, 기록물과 관련된 활동, 메타데이터 분석을 통해 전체 기록물의 범위와 관계를 파악할 수 있는 온톨로지 설계를 하여 특정 문화재 중심으로 기록물을 이해할 수 있도록 하고자 하였다.
Abstract
Records related to a certain cultural heritage are concrete evidence that prove the value of the cultural heritage and become a criterion for long-term preservation of its records. The value of the records is as important as cultural heritage value. In the case of specific cultural heritage with national or socially important values, various studies are conducted on cultural heritage as one theme, and various programs about cultural heritage are developed. However, it is difficult to grasp the scope, record types, and contents of the records because they have been distributed and managed in many institutes. They also appear in various forms. As a solution to these problems, this study collected records of a major cultural heritage with social and historical values such as Hwangnyongsa from 11 public institutions and web services and analyzed the types of records, activities related to the records, and metadata. Through data analysis, an ontology that can understand the range and relationship of the entire record was suggested so that the record can be understood with a focus on specific cultural heritage.

현대 사회에서 ‘시민참여’는 다종의 분야에서 중요성이 인지되어 적극적으로 활용되고 있다. 기록관 역시 추세에 맞게 시민참여 활동 도입이 시도되고 있지만, 대부분이 공모전 참가와 기록물 기증 등과 같이 소극적인 참여 활동 형태를 띤다는 한계가 있다. 본 논문은 국내 기록관에 보다 적극적인 형태의 시민참여형 프로그램을 도입하기 위해 준비해야 할 사안과 구체적인 실행 방안을 마련하는 데 궁극적인 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 기록관리 영역에서 시민참여와 관련된 선행연구를 살피고, 관련 용어와 개념을 정립하였다. 다음으로 해외에서 안정적으로 운영 중인 선진사례를 선정하여 다양한 측면에서 분석하였고, 이를 통해 구체적인 프로그램 운영요소와 장․단점을 파악하였다. 이후 시민참여 활동이 이루어지고 있거나 이를 계획하고 있는 국내 기록관 현황조사를 통해 실제 프로그램 도입 시 실무적인 관점에서 고려해야 할 요소를 도출하였다. 본 연구를 기반으로 개별 기록관에 적합한 시민참여형 프로그램을 설계하고 운영함으로써 함께하는 기록문화 정립에 이바지하기를 바란다.
Abstract
In contemporary society, the importance of ‘Citizen Participation’ has been recognized and actively used in various fields. Archives are also planning citizen participation activities according to the trend, but there is a limit to taking the form of passive participation activities such as participation in contests and donation of records. The ultimate purpose of this study is to prepare issues and specific action plans to induce more active citizen participation in domestic archives. To this end, first, previous studies related to citizen participation in the field of records management were reviewed, and terms and concepts were established. Next, advanced cases that are stably operating overseas were selected and analyzed from various aspects, and through this, specific program operation elements and pros and cons were identified. After that, the current status of domestic archives that have or are planning to engage in citizen participation activities was investigated to derive factors to be considered from a practical point of view when introducing the actual program. Based on this study, it is hoped that it will contribute to the establishment of a participating recording culture by designing and operating Citizen-Participating Programs suitable for individual archives.

여가를 위해 독서를 하는 독자는 특정 작가를 선호하는 경우가 많은데 독서분야를 확장할 때에도 자신이 선호하는 작가와 연관된 작가나 장르로 독서분야를 확장하는 성향이 있다. 이 연구에서는 중심작가로 에드거 앨런 포를 선정한 후 독자들이 에드거 앨런 포와 연관하여 다른 독자에게 추천하는 작가와 작품정보를 기반으로 작가 이미지를 분석하였다. 에드거 앨런 포와 동시출현한 작가와 작품의 빈도수를 분석하고 추천작가간, 작품간 관계를 네트워크 기법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 에드거 앨런 포의 장르적 이미지와 연관된 작가군, 작가들 간의 관계, 연관 도서가 파악되었다, 이 연구에서 제시한 특정 작가의 이미지, 연관 작가 및 작품 정보를 도출하는 방안은 특정 작가를 중심으로 도서관 독서 프로그램이나 문화 프로그램, 북 큐레이션을 하게 될 경우 활용할 수 있는 도구가 될 것이다.
Abstract
Many readers tend to read books of a specific author and to expand their reading areas according to the author. This study chose Edgar Allan Poe and analyzed the image of the author using co-recommended authors and books by other readers. The frequencies of co-occurred authors and books were investigated and the relations of authors and books were analyzed with network analysis methods. As a result, genre images of Poe, related authors, and related books are discovered. This study also suggested the methods to identify the image of a author, related author groups, and related books for libraries’ reading programs and book curation.

공공도서관의 효율성을 객관적으로 측정하여 성과관리에 기여하고자 도서관서비스에 내재된 질적 특성을 반영한 효율성 분석모형을 제시하고 이 분석모형을 적용한 실증적 연구를 통해 효율성 제고방안을 모색하였다. 이미 국내외 연구에서 기존 공공부문에서 사용되는 분석기법을 적용하여 효율성을 측정하였으나, 도서관의 특성을 충분히 반영하지 못했고 측정결과에 대한 일반적인 이론도출을 시도한 연구도 없었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도서관서비스에 내재된 질적 특성을 반영하는 분석모형을 제시하고 분석해봄으로써 효율성 요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석결과 현재 공공도서관에 투입량을 기준으로 산출량은 증가될 수 있으므로 현재 투입 수준에 맞게 산출량을 증가시키는 방법을 모색하고 지속적으로 투입양을 증가시켜야 한다. 효율성 영향요인은 이용자수, 물리적 환경, 전문 인력, 문화 프로그램 기획력, 전자자료 등으로 분석되었고, 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 이용자수, 전문 인력, 문화프로그램 기획력이 효율성과 인과관계를 갖고 있었다.
Abstract
This study measures the efficiency of public libraries, library services, and management to contribute to the proposed model for efficiency analysis, reflecting the characteristics in public libraries. This analysis model of applying the empirical research pursues the solutions to provide efficiency. Although many attempts have been made domestically and internationally to study the measurement of the efficiency, mere application of analysis techniques used in the other public sectors has led to the inadequate measurement for characteristics of library services. In addition, there has not been any attempt made to deduce a general theory for the study from the measurement results. In this study, an analysis model that reflects the inherent characteristics in library services is suggested to be analyzed empirically, and this leads to the understanding of efficiency factors. The results of the study show that the efficiency of current public libraries can be increased on the basis of input and output. Therefore the commitment to increase the level of output to meet the current need shall continue by the amount, rather than by the commitment to reduce the level of input. Finally, the factors influencing the efficiency are the number of users, the physical environment, professional staffs, events planning, and electronic resources. After analyzing the five factors via multiple regression analysis, three factors such as the number of users, professional staff and events planning proved causal relationship with the efficiency.
